Frequently Asked Questions:
Can a physically disabled person attend a TBi course?
Our facilities are designed to accommodate delegates with special needs.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes jeans/ shorts and a tshirt with closed shoes (tackies). Please remember to bring a hat and sunscreen as well as flip flops (summer months) and something warm for the late afternoons and evenings.
What is TBi's B-BBEE status?
TBi is currently a level 2 contributor to B-BBEE. See our governance page here.
Can TBi facilitators travel to another venue?
TBi facilitators can travel to clients, locally and internationally. We require an open area outside (lawn/sand/volleyball court) as well as an indoor area (conference room).
Can I book a course over a weekend?
TBi presents programmes throughout the year (except on religious or public holidays) and closes around the middle of December for the Festive Season.
Will there be mud and puddles to crawl through?
Definitely not. Although our programs are mainly presented outside, and ropes course elements may be introduced, our methodology does not encourage competition. TBi uses the mantra ‘challenge by choice’ hence no team member is forced to participate in an activity. Your emotional and physical well-being is paramount.
Can I participate even if I am overweight or on the other side of 65?
Definitely. We adapt our programmes to afford every member of the team a meaningful experience.
Does TBi provide special dietary requirements?
Definitely, as long as we are notified in advance. There might be additional charges for certain requirements.
What is an ice breaker / socialiser / energiser?
TBi facilitators frequently introduce activities to elevate energy levels, which in turn increase focus and participation.
Will I be forced to participate?
Definitely not. TBi uses the mantra ‘challenge by choice’ thus each team member can decide if he/she wants to participate.
